The Good News That Changes Everything

Hey Cross Woven family, it’s shyanne here!
I want to talk to you about something that’s been on my heart lately. It’s a verse that gives me chills every time I read it because it reminds me of how powerful and unstoppable God's love is. It's from Matthew 24:14:
"And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come."
Just think about that for a second. The Good News—Jesus' message of love, hope, forgiveness, and salvation—is going to reach every corner of this world. Imagine that! Every nation, every culture, every language... hearing about Jesus.
But here's what I really want to talk about: our role in this mission.
As teenagers, it can sometimes feel like we don’t have much of a voice in this big, loud world. With school, social media, friends, and figuring out who we are, it’s easy to think, “What can I do? How can I help spread this Good News?” But Jesus sees us differently. He sees our potential to make a difference. He doesn’t wait for us to grow older or become ‘more experienced’—He wants to work through us right now.
So How Can We Be Part of This?
Be Bold in Your Faith
First things first, don’t be afraid to talk about your faith. You don’t have to preach a sermon (unless that’s your calling!), but you can be a light in your conversations, your social media posts, and how you treat others. Even just sharing a Bible verse or talking about something Jesus has done in your life can plant a seed in someone’s heart.Pray for the World
Prayer is powerful. Even when we feel small, our prayers are heard by a mighty God. Pray for people in other countries who have never heard the name of Jesus. Pray that God will send missionaries and give courage to those sharing the gospel. Pray for open hearts everywhere.Live Out the Good News
Let your life be an example of Jesus’ love. We live in a time where people are searching for something real—something that brings peace in a world that can feel chaotic. By living out love, kindness, and grace, we show the world what the Kingdom of God looks like.Support Missions
Even if we can’t travel the world right now, we can still support those who are going to preach the gospel in faraway places. This might look like donating, raising awareness, or even being part of a mission trip when the time is right.
The Bigger Picture
Here’s the thing: Jesus has called all of us to be part of this incredible story. It’s like being on the world’s greatest team, where the end goal is that everyone gets a chance to know the love of Jesus. It might seem overwhelming at times, but God is doing the heavy lifting. We just need to show up with our hearts open, ready to be used by Him.
As a 17-year-old, I get it—life is complicated and busy. But Jesus wants to work through you, exactly where you are right now. Whether that’s in your high school, with your friends, or online, you have the opportunity to share His love and be part of this global mission.
The Good News is going to reach every nation, and the best part? We get to be part of that story. How amazing is that?
Let’s go out there and be a generation that boldly carries the Good News to the world. After all, we’re Cross Woven—our lives are intertwined with Jesus and His mission. Let’s live like it.
Much love,
Autum
